Some history from Classic Rendezvous
"Giorgio Rinaldi, turning from his primary career as a furniture designer, developed this ultra short and upright bicycle design. Two tubes, about the size of stays, run from the seat cluster to the outside edges of the bottom bracket shell. The placement of these tubes are said to give the frame extra torsional rigidity. With the twin seat tubes design, the rear wheel can be moved forward—between the two tubes. The result is a wheel-base shortened by 6 full centimeters. The short chain stays allow six or eight fewer links in the drive chain. Head tube and seat tube angles are ultra steep: 77 to 78 degrees! This results in an extremely quick handling bicycle…."

All Gitane frames are made by hand and designed for professional riders to thier exact specifications by M.I.C.M.O., France's largest manufacturer of quality bicycles. Frame constructed of light steel with BCM lugs, Fork is round Durifort. Frame and Fork painted Candy Apple Red, hand trimmed with Gold paint on all lugs, Beautiful condition for it's age.(Please see all photos) Steel handlebar. Alluminum dural Pivo Stem. Steel seat post. All bearings in Head and Crank spin freely. This bike is not drilled for brake in fork or seatstay bridge. Complete bike as shown weighs appx. 10lbs.

Client Profile: Meet the owner of the first Shorty Fatz bike in Thailand, Donge the Butcher. I first became aware of Donge and his group called Pista Pasta a few months back. I was pumped on their philosophy which puts friendship first. He also shared some pics with me of some sweet rides he owns. I was honored when he hit us up for a Shorty Fatz bike. Donge is multi-talented, works in the television industry, is also part chef, and a bigtime bicycle enthusiast. He ordered a raw frame from us, and took care of the build which came out excellent!
